In celebration of the Unsound Festival New York, halcyon proudly presents the official Unsound Festival New York Compilation, a FREE Seventeen track aural primer showcasing the diversity of experimental / electronic music talent scheduled to perform at venues throughout NYC from Feb. 4-14, 2010. The downloadable selection runs the gamut from avant-garde compositions and sudden improvisations to raw Acid House sensations, meticulously crafted Techno creations, deep Dub vibrations and anthemic Disco temptations. The sampler boasts the first ever release by Solid State Transmitters (German producer Sebastian Meissner/Klmek with Polish quartet Kwartludiu) and the hotly anticipated production debut of New York favorite, Derek Plaslaiko, along with exclusive or unreleased contributions from Static, DJ Qu, Zenial, and Blondes plus appearances by Detroit luminary Carl Craig, Polish tech-house powerhouse Jacek Sienkiewicz, Belarusian dubstepper Pavel Ambiont and many more. Unsound Festival New York Sampler was compiled by Unsound Festival in conjunction with halcyon the shop, NYC's premiere electronic music outlet and is available in the US for a limited time only.
