Categories/channels are how we group our content - genres or styles as they are also called. We feel that music shouldnt always be strictly limited to one category or another, so you might seem some tracks in related categories.

Individual tracks and albums can be purchased via credit card - Visa, Mastercard, American Express and Discover card. At this time we do not accept payment via Paypal.

How do I buy music from halcyondigi.com ?
Buying music from halcyondigi.com is quick and easy. You must first register and create your own user account. After this, you can download the halcyondigi.com downloader (Download Manager) for Windows or OSX. Then simply browse the site and add tracks and albums to your shopping cart, and check out when you are ready to download the tracks. You will be prompted for your credit card information and then the Downloader will trigger and manage the download process. Should you decide not to use the Downloader, you will can manually download the tracks via the browser (from within your 'Active Downloads' when logged in).
Why are some tracks only available when purchasing the full album?
Some tracks on certain albums cannot be sold individually, and must be purchased as an entire album, due to associated legal agreements surrounding the album.

What is the download manager?
The download manager (DLM) is helper software developed by halcyondigi.com which makes it far easier to download your purchased music from our music store to your computer. rather than using your browser, which requires you click on a link for each track you have purchased, with one click the download manager can download any number of purchased tracks to a folder on your hard disk.
Why should i use the download manager rather than downloading music using my browser?
Your browser requires you click on a link for each track you have purchased, whereas with one click the download manager can download any number of purchased tracks to a folder on your hard disk. this is far more efficient if you tend to purchase a large number of tracks from our store.
I am concerned about spyware, does the download manager send any information about me to halcyondigi.com?
No, the download manager does not do anything apart from help you download music from our store.
What are the requirements for the download manager software?
MACINTOSH: An apple macintosh running OSX version 10.3 and above. WINDOWS: Any windows PC running windows 98, NT, 2000 or XP. LINUX: Download manager functionality is not supported as yet, but you can use your web browser to download your purchased tracks.
Where can i get the download manager software?
When you register an account at halcyondigi.com, or when you access your account profile (under download preferences) you can opt to install the download manager software, and check the option to "Download using download manager". Whilst this option is checked, the download manager application will handle downloads and browser downloading is disabled. Browser downloading can be reactivated by unchecking "download using download manager".
How does the download manager work?
When you make a purchase at halcyondigi.com, and complete the payment check out, you will be presented with a page containing a list of all the tracks you have purchased. If you have checked the option to "Download using download manager" in your account profile (under download preferences) there is a button at the top of the page to download all your purchased tracks in one shot via the download manager. Once you click this button the download manager will start and begin downloading your purchased music to your computer. Note that some browsers will ask you whether you'd like to "Open" or "Save" the link you clicked on, you should respond "Open" so the download manager can do it's work. Rest assured there is no security risk in doing so.
- While downloading a track you will see a blue "connected" icon next to the track, and a progress of the current operation. - When a track download has been successfully completed you'll see a green "check" icon next to the track (hint: if you double-click on the track it will play in your default mp3 player application). - If an error occurs in the process of downloading, you will see a red "X" icon next to the track. you may click the "Retry" button on the bottom of the download manager window to try the download again. If the error persists, you may contact us for assistance. Where does the download manager put my purchased music?
By default, the download manager will put your purchased music on your desktop in a folder named "Halcyon Digi Downloads". You may change this default location in the application preferences of the download manager. For your convenience there is a button on the bottom of the download manager window labeled "Music" which will open your dancetracks music folder for quick browsing.
The download manager could not download some of my purchased tracks, what should i do?
If an error occurs in the process of downloading, you will see a red "X" icon next to the track. You may click the "Retry" button on the bottom of the download manager window to try the download again. If the error persists, you may contact us for assistance.
What if the download manager software is updated?
The download manager will automatically check for software updates when they are available and notify you with the option to upgrade or wait until a later time.
How do I import my music to iTunes?
The Download Manager has an inbuild function that will automatically import tracks into iTunes when they have been downloaded. Tracks that have been downloaded via the web browser must be moved to the iTunes directory and then manually added to the library.

How are tracks encoded ?
Tracks sold are encoded as performance quality 320kbps Non Variable Rate MPEG-1 Layer III (Mp3) files, with no DRM.
Why does halcyondigi.com use the MP3 format ?
MP3 is currently the most widely adopted audio format. The 320 kbps performance quality tracks purchased and downloaded from halcyondigi.com can immediately be played on all digital media players.
How are tracks downloaded from the site ?
Tracks can be downloaded individually via your web browser or with the halcyondigi.com proprietary Download Manager (DLM). The DLM controls and facilitates the download of multiple tracks, albums and compilations. The DLM is the preferred method for downloading.
